Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, & Frequently Asked Questions

SendSweep Privacy Policy

Effective Date: November 24, 2025

1. Introduction

Welcome to SendSweep. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how SendSweep (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our mobile applications, SendSweep and SendSweep Lite (collectively, the “App” or “SendSweep” in some places herein), and our website, SendSweep.com (the “Site” or “our website”).

This Privacy Policy applies to the SendSweep company, SendSweep App, SendSweep Lite App, and it’s users/clients/customers.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information. We clearly distinguish between data collected on our servers and data that remains on your device.

A. Personal Information You Provide (Stored on Our Servers)

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and other identifiers.

Payment Information: When you make a purchase, our third-party payment processors (Google Play Billing / Google Pay for in-app purchases and Stripe for website purchases) collect payment information.

Communications: If you contact us, we may collect a record of that correspondence.

B. Information Collected Automatically (Stored on Our Servers)

Usage & Analytics Data: We collect information about how you interact with our App, app performance, and crash logs.

Device Information: We collect information from your device, including hardware model, OS version, and unique device identifiers.

Advertising ID (AD_ID): Through the Android permission com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID, we may access your device’s Advertising ID to provide analytics and measure marketing performance. We do not use this ID to directly identify you as a person.

3. Our Core Privacy Promise (On-Device Data Only)

A key principle of SendSweep is that your private communications stay private. The App’s core functions access the following sensitive data, which is processed only on your device and is never uploaded to, stored on, or collected by our servers (Firebase/Firestore):

Your Contact List

Permissions: READ_CONTACTS

Usage: Used to display and select your contacts when composing or sending messages.

Your Photos, Videos, Audio, and Files

Permissions: READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Usage: Used so you can attach, send, receive, save, and manage multimedia files (such as photos, videos, audio clips, and PDFs) in SMS/MMS messages.

Your SMS/MMS Messages

Permissions: READ_SMS, WRITE_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS, SEND_SMS, SEND_MMS, RECEIVE_MMS, RECEIVE_WAP_PUSH

Usage: Used to send, receive, display, and manage your SMS and MMS messages on your device when SendSweep / SendSweep Lite are acting as your messaging app.

We do not store your message history, contact list, or call log on our servers. This data stays on your device and is only accessed by the App to perform local functions (for example, showing your contact list, showing recent callers when starting a New Chat, or attaching a photo).

4. Permissions and How We Use Them

The Android version of the App requests the following permissions, as declared in our AndroidManifest.xml, strictly to provide core messaging and dialer functions.

AndroidManifest

We group permissions by purpose:

A. Messaging & Call-Related Permissions

SMS & MMS Handling

Permissions:

SEND_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS, READ_SMS, WRITE_SMS

SEND_MMS, RECEIVE_MMS, RECEIVE_WAP_PUSH

Usage: Required so the App can function as an SMS/MMS messaging app: sending, receiving, reading, writing, and organizing your text and multimedia messages on your device.

Phone & Call Features

Permissions: READ_PHONE_STATE, READ_PHONE_NUMBERS, CALL_PHONE, MANAGE_OWN_CALLS

Usage:

Detects SIM state and phone number where possible, to identify which number is used for sending messages.

Supports the Auto-Dialer feature to place calls you initiate from inside the App.

Manages call-related flows that are part of the Auto-Dialer or messaging experience (for example, tracking when calls start or end).

B. Files, Camera, and Microphone

Files & Media

Permissions: READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE

Usage: Allows you to attach photos, videos, PDFs, and audio files to messages, and to save received media to your device.

Camera

Permission: CAMERA

Usage: Allows taking photos or videos directly within the App to attach to an MMS message.

Microphone

Permission: RECORD_AUDIO

Usage: Allows recording voice notes or audio clips inside the App to attach to messages.

C. Network & MMS Routing

Internet & Network State

Permissions: INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE

Usage:

Checks whether you are online and whether you are using Wi-Fi or mobile data.

Uses the Internet to download MMS content (when allowed by your carrier), sync non-message account data, and connect to our backend (Firebase/Firestore) for account functionality.

Change Network State / Force Cellular for MMS

Permission: CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE

Usage:

Used to control how MMS messages are sent. Many carriers require MMS to be sent over cellular data, not Wi-Fi.

When necessary, the App can temporarily switch or route MMS traffic over your cellular network even if Wi-Fi is turned on, so that your MMS messages send and download correctly.

This is done only for MMS connectivity. We do not inspect or route your other internet activity to our servers.

D. Foreground Services & Background Behavior

Foreground Services

Permissions:

FOREGROUND_SERVICE

FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC

FOREGROUND_SERVICE_REMOTE_MESSAGING

FOREGROUND_SERVICE_PHONE_CALL

Usage:

Keeps critical background services running reliably while following Android’s foreground service rules (for example, showing a notification while running):

Data Sync: For background message sending and status updates.

Remote Messaging/MMS: For reliable MMS download and processing.

Phone Call (Auto-Dialer): For managing active call states during automated dialing sessions.

Restart on Boot

Permission: RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED

Usage: Automatically restarts necessary listeners and background services (such as SMS/MMS receive handlers, scheduled messages, or auto-reply services) so you don’t miss messages after your device restarts.

Scheduled Messages

Permission: SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM

Usage: Enables the “Schedule Message” feature so that messages can be sent at an exact time you choose, even if the device is idle (subject to system limitations).

E. Notifications & Advertising ID

Notifications

Permission: POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+)

Usage: Used to show notifications for new messages, calls placed via the Auto-Dialer, background service status, and other important events.

Advertising ID

Permission: com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID

Usage: Allows access to your device’s Advertising ID, which is used solely for analytics and measuring marketing performance. We do not use this ID to sell your data to third parties.
